Quist is the mobile app about LGBTQ history with an audience of over 30,000 individuals in over 100 countries. The messages behind it are simple and powerful: Every action makes a difference and the activism you do today makes history. Being LGBTQ isn’t a new fad, we have been here forever. And for LGBTQ youth – You aren’t the only one to have ever felt this way and you have a community spanning centuries waiting to welcome you.
The app’s creator, Sarah Prager, is available to speak to your group about these messages. Presentations include:
- Global LGBTQIA History 101
- LGBTQ History’s Relevance Today
- Using LGBTQ History in our Activism Today
- STEM’s Queer History
- History of Rural LGBTQ Activism in the United States
- History of LGBTQ Business and Marketing
- Behind the Quist App
Each uses fascinating stories from little-known LGBTQ history to illustrate the points. They can be adapted for students (middle school through college), houses of worship, non-profit staff, professional or academic conferences, and special events. Custom presentations for your group’s interests are also available.
